Each year, thousands of college students in America drop out with the most common
reason involving financial concerns. Many higher education institutions struggle to
keep their students enrolled while simultaneously dealing with budget cuts. As a result,
support to the FAMU’s School of the Environment (SoE) Emergency Student Support Fund
is needed to help meet the needs of our students. In 2020, SoE retained over 90% of our graduate students largely in part to the financial
contributions to the program. Any support will go a long way with retention efforts
by meeting the financial needs of our students. Let us all be “Champions for a Sustainable
Environment.”
