Center for Spatial Ecology & Restoration (CSER)
FAMU’s Center for Spatial Ecology & Restoration (CSER) is a partnership between USDA Forest Service and Florida A&M University with additional participating institutions including the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, University of Florida and Florida State University.

Our mission is to foster sustainable, efficient land stewardship using innovative geospatial technology & solutions while helping to train the next generation of environmental professionals by engaging university students (at all levels), faculty, and staff in CSER projects.

Although CSER has multiple funding streams, our primary source is from Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (“RESTORE”) awards to the USDA Forest Service, National Forests in Florida.
